Terms of Service

Last updated 3 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and FREEDOMWAY LTD, registered in England and Wales, company no. 15158648, whose registered office is at 24-26 Arcadia Avenue, Fin009, London N3 2JU, United Kingdom. We trade as “Still on the map” at stillonthemap.com. By using the site or subscribing to a paid plan, you accept these terms.

1. What we sell

Still on the map measures how a business appears in Google Maps search results. For a business you name, we run searches from nine points around its address, record where the business ranks in each, read its public Google Business Profile and its public reviews, and turn all of it into a score out of 100 with five pillars and a list of findings.

The free scan is a single measurement, taken live at the moment you ask for it. The Watch plan repeats that measurement every week and emails you when your rank or score drops. That is the entire service: measurement and notification.

What we do not sell. We do not change your Google listing, we do not contact Google on your behalf, and we do not promise that your ranking will improve. We report what we measure. Any action on your listing is yours to take.

2. We are not Google

Still on the map is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Google LLC. “Google”, “Google Maps” and “Google Business Profile” are trademarks of Google LLC. We only read information that is publicly visible to any person using Google Maps. We never ask for, and never receive, access to your Google account.

3. Accuracy, and its limits

Google’s results change constantly and differ from one person and one place to the next. Two scans of the same business hours apart can return different numbers; we have measured it ourselves. A scan is an accurate record of what we observed, at that time, from those points, for that search term. It is not a guarantee of what any individual customer sees.

We show every score with the search term it was measured on, because changing the term changes the result. If a measurement fails, we mark it as unmeasured rather than guessing.

4. Prices, billing and renewal

5. Free scans

The free scan needs no account and no payment. Each scan costs us money to run, so we limit how many one visitor can start in an hour and in a day, and we may ask for an email address beyond the first few. We may refuse or throttle automated use.

6. Your responsibilities

7. Your data and your reports

The measurements we take about a business you scan remain available to you through your report link. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You keep any rights you have in your own business information; we keep the rights in the software, the scoring model and the site.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted. We depend on third parties (Google’s public results, our data provider, our hosting), and any of them can fail. If a scheduled weekly scan cannot run, we run it as soon as we can and tell you.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data or indirect losses, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. If you have only used the free scan, that amount is zero: the free scan is provided as-is.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the service at any time and cancel any subscription as described above. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we email subscribers at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
